Slight forum change

We talked about this a long time ago, but I just had a chance to change the template. Before, if you hovered your mouse over any part of the entire row of the thread LIST, you'd get a preview of what's inside the thread. It was annoying. So I wanted to remove it. Some people said they like it. So the compromise was to make the preview show up if you hover your mouse over the actual title of the thread, not the entire row. So that's what I did.

Makes sense to me.

So how about them upgrades...

Code to the left of him, code to the right of him, code in front of him compil'd and thundered. Programm'd at with shot and $SHELL. Boldly he typed and well. Into the jaws of C. Into the mouth of PERL. Debug'd the 0x258.

Awesome. I always thought that was a neat feature, but it was annoying to hav eit pop up all the time even when I didn't want it so....this is perfect.

I thought someone was doing an upgrade? If we do it, it's going to break all our templates :( We'll have to re-implement all the changes/color schemes/icons/etc.

I thought that is exactly how it should have been made in the first place (drag over topic title rather than the whole table cell)

A jolly good chance. I really like the preview, but it was annoying how you couldn't have the mouse pointer anywhere without it popping up.

So can someone please turn off threaded mode so we can use Quick Reply the way it was meant to be... quickly?

Right now it requires you to click the "quick reply" button on a post, which is straight up stupid as hell.

I don't ANYONE on this forum uses threaded mode (cause it sucks massively and is confusing) and quick reply is pretty much left unused because of it.

Quick Reply... I never realized why it was so stupid. I disabled threaded mode, but it didn't help at all. There was actually a separate setting for the quick reply that required users to click a post above. Lame. I turned it off.

Hello this is a test of the quick reply system.

Thank you, I love quick reply. There was nothing quick about the old way.. in fact it took longer than a regular reply IMO.

Haha, he isn't kidding. I had to switch themes to see it, but it's like twice the size of the other icons it's next to.

Now can someone explain to me why if I take to long writing a post in normal reply mode I get directed to a page that says "Invalid Thread" until I hit back and post the message again?
