For those who don't know who he is, he played Frank Barone on Everybody Loves Raymond, and was in many films (including Young Frankenstein and Taxi Driver).

Apparently the cause of death was multiple myeloma and heart disease.

Yeah, it was always a nice surprise when he'd pop up in a movie I wasn't expecting him in (like Taxi Driver). He was great at both dramatic and comedic roles.
