To quote the rules:
Quote:
Here are a few ground rules, although more rules may be added as issues arise:
  • The drabble must be exactly one hundred English words. All words must be found on either dictionary.com or webster.com. One hundred words, no more, no less.
  • Original work only. No quotations from other works.
  • Individual entries only, no co-authored work.
  • You may submit as many entries for show as you like, but the author must decide on one for the final vote.
  • Drabbles must be PM'd to Happydud before the deadline to be considered entered into the contest.
  • The drabble must be directly related to the given theme(s). This will be open, but try not to be too off topic.

100 words is not very much! The bulleted rules are exactly 100 words. Choose your language wisely!

This contests theme is: "How you found the Fish Club."

It is up to you to decide who, or what, the Fish Club is, and describe how you found it.

Deadline: Sunday, December 17th at Midnight. (The writing period is a lot shorter because, come on. It's 100 words.)

Ready? WRITE.

PS. PM me your entries, I will be "judging/moderating" this round. Heckle your opponents in this thread.

I'd continue the insulting, but 1) I need to submit something first and 2) it's unfair to insult someone so much more inferior in skill. :v:

Wait, I don't think I did this right.
Hey, Blue? I'm loving the things you do. From the very first time, the fight you fight for will always be mine.

Does "can't" count as one word or two?

My entry isn't serious, I just want to play.
2006-12-14, 10:43 AM #12
I've been taking contractions as one word (and compound words, but that might be cheating)

Contractions are one word, compound words, if a valid compound word and can be verified in a dictionary, will be accepted as one word.

DRABBLE'D.

I'm going to win. The rest of you who haven't started yours yet might as well save yourself the time.

Honestly though, I am looking forward to reading the entries. They're fun and easy to write. Everyone should enter.

It's ok. Steven has to resort to mind numbing poisons to win. But, luckily for me, I've already got this competition in the bag, so I'm not worried.
