Toys R Us is holding all Wiis and releasing them on Sunday.

At least in our region.

(But I never told anyone that.)

Also, next week, if you buy an XBox 360 at Toys R Us, you get a free $100 gift card.

Vinny, is the Xbox 360/Gift Card deal in effect at all Toys R Us locations, or just yours? And, is there a website or newspaper ad I can check to verify this information?
2006-12-14, 2:19 PM #8
All the TRU's use the same ad, so yes it will be at all locations.

You can verify this online next week here:

PS: I think it only works with the premium $400 one.

I'm actually considering getting one.

My girlfriend went to a Toys'R'Us in Kingston, NY at 3:30 in the morning, ended up being the 4th one there, and got one of the 10 Wiis they had, for her father.

She can no longer say anything I do is geeky, since I've never camped out for anything on opening day.

I drove by Toys R Us 30 minutes before they opened today, and there were probably 80+ people standing in line.

Sad.

What's even sadder is that they probably only had 20 at best to sell.

I went and didn't get one.

What's really weird is that I went by Wal-Mart last night, and they had at least one PS3, but no Wiis.

I went to Best Buy at 6:30 last night, and slept in line overnight. Needless to say, I got myself a wii.

This thing is absolutely awesome. I'm loving Zelda, and wii sports (especially tennis) is a blast to play with my friend.
