What are you doing for the holidays?
2006-12-19, 6:57 PM #1
If this has already been posted, please forgive me. There needs to be more activity right now on the forums though -- it's not updating with 10 new posts every 30 seconds that I'm refreshing!

So what are you all doing for the holidays, and if applicable, your winter break?

I myself will likely just be doing family stuff for Christmas (spend Christmas Eve with my dad, probably go to midnight mass, etc. and go to my mother's for Christmas Day). For New Year's, I may go to a party my old college friends usually have, but I may not either -- I'll probably decide aribitrarily at the last minute. I intend to work as much as I can for my job before school kicks in, and I intend to play lots of videogames. I'm hoping to see quesadilla_red (and if at all possible, get the MD Massassians together for that). Apart from that, I hope to do what personal projects and whatnot I can before the new semester starts.

Family stuff for Christmas.

For my break, I'm playing Xbox 360 and getting drunk with my best friend as much as we can.

New Year's, going to a party.

Working. A lot. aside from that, hanging around, and doing the family christmas thing the day after christmas. I never have any New Years plans until 5 minutes before people are gathering. Probably hang out with the old chorus buddies or camp group if I'm not meeting up with friends from school in DC
Fincham: Where are you going?
Me: I have no idea
Fincham: I meant where are you sitting. This wasn't an existential question.

For Christmas, I'll subject my cats to watch lame romantic comedies with me. (This will probably be the same for my Christmas Eve as well.) New Years I'll be spending with my D&D guys and then it's off to NJ and hopefully meeting Massassians...and eating delicious stuff at a Wawa. >_>

[[btw...I'm too tired to form those into coherent setences.]]

Well, Christmas Eve, my mom's side of the family will be converging on my home here for our Christmas get together. Then Christmas morning will be spent with my half-brother, his wife, his two kids, and my grandmother. Then that afternoon, who knows.

New Years Eve will be spent with my family, playing cards, and drinking, probably.

Playing with my Wii...
Parents been REAL subtle...

"if you get a Wii would you like it?"
"yes..."
"Would you be able to switch from ps2 to wii?"
"Am i getting a wii?"
"....No...*odd smile*"

REAL subtle.

I wonder what happens if you don't get the Wii.

Hangin and chillin with familia.

We'll be doing the usual stuff; a family food gathering on Christmas and New Years days followed by a number of blissful days off work. Only one work day more for me and then we are done till January 8th.

Tis a good idea. Although i pray that the yearly "Awsomecakes present for everyone!" is one. Last year it was a 52' [Inch?] TV.

I will probably go to all of my siblings houses and watch their kids open presents. Then I will hang out a lot of my friend who will be back from the Marines on leave. After that I'll be working again. . .umm, yay.
My blawgh.

I think I'll have myself a turky MRE and sing christmas songs to annoy everyone in my truck.

I'm gonna sit here, eat chips and drink stuff (Coke, Mozart Chocolate Liquor and Kirsberry Cherry Speciality), watch movies and TV series and perhaps go out someday. The usual.

And my holidays end already in January 2. Bleh.

As indicated by the past few days, I will be mostly bored and missing the University Halls. On Thursday I'm going to a Sixth Form "reunion", mostly to get my A level certificate. Christmas Eve + Day will be spent with my family, probably lamenting my crappy gifts to others on account of being out of work and almost completely broke. New Years is up in the air at the moment, but I hope to spend that with my friends before going back to the Halls on the 7th of January.

Wow, that was depressing :P

Play FFXI. Be annoyed by annoying family members. Get bugger all. Drink. Pick up A-level certificates. Do Uni work.

Actually, that's all I normally do anyway.

Still lots of people I haven't seen in ages due to being at university, so probably meeting most of them, usual family stuff, revising a little for the couple of exams i have in January, also visiting some friends in poland early January.

Have not really got much planned by my Uncle's coming from up north to visit Christmas Eve, having Christmas Day at home with parents, going to spend day with my gran on Boxing Day, sadly that means no fooball (but Norwich will go a lose and miss good horse race at Kempton on radio five (its Grade 1 too!)),

The rest of the period - just be sitting around and mastering my guitar - which I dug out a few days ago. Then 2nd Jan im off back doing voluntary charity work. Oh, I still be posting - Im working on a JK project the whole time) :)

I don't know, I don't really have anything planned. My break is short (2 weeks), so I'll probably just hang out around coffee shops with friends. Probably level a Shaman, I don't know.
