I love it when people judge movies based on preconcieved notions about the director. Bravo, Sajn, you're a true anti-fanboy.

Only reason I would see this movie is to hear Prime say "Do a barrell roll"

Part of the Transformers movie was filmed on an unfinished length of the new highway in my town (CA rte 21), about 5 minutes from where I live.

well arent YOU special.

Part of a porno film was filmed right next door to where I was staying at a backpacker's lodge during my sweddish mountain goat expedition.

Getting back on topic. I truely hope they are going to use the original theme song. BEST SONG EVER.

I live on 6 Mile, which is two miles from 8 Mile. My school was mentioned in 8 Mile, "Cranbrook, that's a private school."

P.S. Is anyone interested in creating a Lord of the Rings and Transformers combined fansite? Because I'd totally moderate it. :downs:

6 Mile is 2 Miles from 8 Mile?

Go figure...

Uhh... My town was mentioned and a partial setting for Knockaround Guys. Spokane WA.

Anyway, the movie looks like it'll actually be pretty cool, but I have to say that was the most annoying trailer ever with all the vamping sounds and whatnot.

It was like... ACTION vvvvvvVVVVVVVVVUM vvvvvvvvVVVVVVVVUM ACTION MUVVVVVVVVvvvvvv vvvvvvVVVVVVVUM!

Going only off the trailor, the movie focuses too much on the humans, and the transformers don't even talk. Doesn't look good. Pretty effects, though!

Also, Kevin Smith kind of told me to hate it.

If Prime speaks, it would seem logical that the others do too. Maybe they're not showing them speak to try and keep an air of mystery, not spoil the plot (there's probably one hidden in there somewhere), or maybe they just haven't cast all the voice over actors yet.
2006-12-21, 1:03 AM #29
i thought the part where they were like "this is the only sound we have of them" was showing they could talk? sounded like a scream or a grunt. and if they have the ability to grunt, im sure they can talk. bay and speilberg can't **** up THAT much to not let them have any lines.

plus, there's voice actors credited on IMDB.com

so. yeah. neener neener.

Spider Man, X-Men, Superman, Batman, The Crow, Constantine, Hellboy, The Matrix, Men In Black, Sin City, V for Vendetta... :downs:

Most of those were either cartoon, comic or both.

Those movies were based off the comics. The fact that there were also cartoons based on the same comic is irrelevant.

I don't like to say someone sucks when I don't know them personally, but I must agree with SAJN to the extent that a person with at least average intellectual capacity would probably have benefitted from Michael Bay having made a different career choice.
Looks like we're not going down after all, so nevermind.

Wow... Michael Bay sucks. That's some great insight.

Because you know... The Rock sucked and all...

No matter what you say about his movies, you still pee on cars. And hence, Michael Bay > You.
