College Acceptances and (hopefully not) denials
2006-12-21, 1:06 PM #1
Well, in search of perhaps an -ian that goes to Penn State, thought I would set up a college acceptance/denial post.

For me:
Penn State - University Park (Accepted/Sent in Deposit)
Purdue - Accepted
UW-Madison - Accepted

So...post your colleges, and find me a roomate!!

Haven't gotten around to applying anywhere else, as this is where I want to go, and already have been accepted.

I applied to RIT, CWRU and JCU my senior year. I got into RIT, and of course JCU, but not CWRU. I was so happy, that way my parents couldn't pressure me into going to a school that was very poor for my field of study.

I didn't get rejected by any institutions. Maybe that's 'cause I have nothing to do with 'em.

Applied to RIT, UMBC (University of Maryland in Baltimore City... maybe Baltimore County, I don't remember). Got accepted to both. I currently reside in Rochester.

Penn State (accepted, lets face it though, graduating from state college high school pretty much guaranteed me acceptance there)

I'm accepted to WSU with a little scholarship, still need to fill out the sholarship app to get more sholarships though.

I also applied to (but haven't heard back from):
University of Washington
University of Colorado at Boulder
California Polytechnic State University at San Luis Obispo (long name, lol)

I am really torn between UW, WSU and CU Boulder... although I think I really want to go to UW.

Went to Creighton because of the Honors program... although not getting into my top choice helped.

That's probably Wisconsin. That place is insane.

When I was a senior...
Rejected: Stanford
Wait-Listed: Dartmouth, Cornell, Claremont McKenna
Accepted: Northwestern, Vanderbilt, Pepperdine

I'm at Northwestern now.

Hell yeah. KU kicks ***. Well, architecture at KU kicks ***. But it's also my firm belief that architecture kicks *** at any decent school if you put enough of your own thought or research into it. I guess that goes for a lot of things.

Ahh, should've went with Vandy. ;)

That's where I ended up, cause well, it was the only place I ever applied because it was where I wanted to go so I did it early decision and I knew it was pretty much a guaranteed acceptance.

Maybe not Harvard, but I thought I remembered Darth saying he went to some kind of fancy expensive school with like $40000/year tuition.

How about people who are graduating and applying for jobs?

Personally, I applied to a couple different companies, and got a yes back from a big oil company (I'm a CHME).

That doesn't mean that's what you have to pay for it. Hurray scholarships and financial aid. I forget the exact stat, but it's something like 60% of people at Vandy receive some sort of financial aid.
