Problem: Microphone records both line in AND out
2006-12-24, 12:11 AM #1
Somehow my new computer, when told to record or activate the line in, also records from the line out. I am completely baffled, and it normally ends up with me getting a massive feedback loop that gets more and more distorted.

Has anybody ever encountered this kind of problem before? Anyone know where I could ask for help? It's Realtek software, and assumably, hardware, but their site proves to be of little assistance.

Oh, so that we can put all two of the tech-related threads in there where nobody will ever respond to them?

Well this thread is basically redundant anyway. The problem comes and goes as it pleases.

There were more than that.

It was easily three.

The point was though, is that it kept it off the discussion forums and for the most part kept the conversation intelligent.

Except for when that knightrider guy posted.

Get a cheap sound card. newegg That one should work great. Trust me, 24 bit sound is very nice vs. old 16 bit that most on board sound is.

It has nothing to do with being 24-bit. Chances are everything you listen to is 16-bit anyway.

I know the PROBLEM has nothing to do with 24 bit. it just sounds better. and DVD's ARE 24 bit sound.
