Now if that were only the real case...

Pauly Shore, Ben Stiller, Sean Penn, and Fred Durst?

Sounds like a good place to plant a bomb.

I heard about this movie a few years ago. I thought it had died.

The cast is a lot bigger, according to IMDB.

I'm ont sure what the movie is supposed to be. A fake documentary, perhaps? I want to see it. I still like Pauly Shore.

You know there is nobody on that cast list I would spare.

Ben Stiller was funny- then I watched Starsky and Hutch. The fame has fried his brain.

and even more so in I Am Sam IMO. Also Stiller rocks. He was great in Starsky and Hutch, and in Dodgeball and Zoolander and.....

I made a thread, that turned into the debate, so I made a second thread, that turned into a debate, then I made a third thread, that caught on fire, burned down, got flamed, crapped on, bashed, then turned into a debate...but the fourth one, the fourth one stayed on topic!
Think while it's still legal.

Of course. Wanna get lots of praise and awards? Play a retard in a movie. Seriously, Hollywood (and everyone else) needs to stop dry humping actors and actresses who play the mentally challenge for entertainment value. It's stupid and degrading to people who really are challenged.

.. Uh, as far as I can remember, I Am Sam won absolutely no big awards. It was nominated for a handfull.. Which is a travesty, because it was a great movie.. I'll agree that movies about the mentally challenged are far too often met with applause, but I Am Sam was amazing - Did you even see it, Thrawn?

I'm surprised at how much Sean Penn hatred there is in this thread.. The Game, Dead Man Walking, I Am Sam, Mystic River, 21 Grams.. One of the best actors in a long time.

Fred Durst though? ... Jesus... You know, I might just be willing to sacrifice Sean Penn for a chance to even just *maim* Fred Durst..

I tried seeing it Slug, my parents rented it and I just didn't find it entertaining.

Ben Stiller is one of the most typecast actors in the entirety of the multiverse. I'm just guessing, now, but I guess that Ben Stiller will be a confused adult who awkwardly strives to impress his one true love, resulting in hilarious antics.

(I'm surprised they cast Adam Sandler in 50 First Dates. I guess Stiller was busy with Along Came Polly.)

Wrong Jon. Anthony Hopkins is hands down the most type cast actor on the planet.

Edit : Which is mostly saddening because I find him to be one of the most universal talents in the hollywood hills.

How is Anthony Hopkins typecast? He's done everything from Victor Hugo to Shakespeare. Maybe people just remember him for his role as Hannibal Lecter, but he's far from typecast.

I Am Sam was a serious look at being mentally challenged though, Stiller films are all "laugh at the retard!" now.
