Who likes rum? tell me now plz.

To be honest, its my favourite drink in the world... it smells delicious, it looks delicious, it tastes delicious and its got a delicious history (PIRATES FFS!!)

What is your opinions on Rum? Tell me about your rummy goodness.... But hey, if you're an anti-booze zealot... kill yourself and post somewhere else.

I only wish I was as close to the Caribbean as you American folk... I bet they have some ****ing incredibly delicious brands.

Does anyone else find it ironic that spe's been so careful not to break the "no posting in all caps" rule, and yet it seems rather apparent that he has broken the "no posting drunk" rule?

I love rum. My as-of-recently-ex-straight-edge friend loves rum mixed with that black cherry and vanilla coke, but he's a pansy and likes getting drunk on long islands.

I thoroughly enjoy rum. It warms me like a hug. Much like whisky, but girls tend to like it more when I have rum on hand, and are consequently more friendly with me. Thus, rum wins the contest for my favourite liquor.

Take a pint glass.

Mix rum and cloudy lemonade to the ratio of 1:2 respective.

Down in 10 minutes.

Love rum. I usually drink Captain Morgan White. I'm really not a fan of Bacardi.

I also enjoy Vodka, usually buying Absolut.

If buying for just myself I usually go with Captain Morgan, if my girlfriend and I are going to a party and she wants to share something I normally go with Absolut.

You most certainly are not.

Something about rum does not mix well with me. It doesn't make me sick or anything. It just doesn't get me drunk for some reason. I remember the last time I bought rum. I bought a liter of captain and when it was gone I wanted to go get beer. It's odd.

White rum is firewater. Actually, the only rum I really enjoy are complex aged rums, that are molasses in color. In lighter rums, I can't taste the sugarcane origin, and the aging gives it much more body and deeper aromas and flavors that lighter rums miss out on. Add a deal of dark rum to some really dark coffee, and you've got yourself quite the morning drink.

In Germany, there's a brand called Captain Cook's, which is a high-proof spiced rum. Despite the cheap price and the alcohol content, it was good enough to drink on the rocks.

Rum's tastes too much like vanilla to me, so, unless it's with Cherry Coke, I don't care for it.

Tequila and vodka, however...

Of course, sitting back and enjoying a nice beer is always fun, too.

Captain Morgan's Original Spiced Rum is a 'medium' rum. It's not white; there's a Captain Morgan's White for that; but it's not as dark as some of the others. Still, it's the best. You can't beat it, and it mixes so nice with colas.

Vodka I only like when it's in something else. Good vodka is flavorless, but you can still taste the alcohol, and lets face it, alcohol doesn't exactly taste great. That's why vodka goes in everything. I like the Grey Goose. But only if I don't have any Captain Morgan's.

I didn't start drinking until 19 (legal age in Ontario). Of course, I thought alcohol was evil back then, but now.......well let's just say I'm a man of extremes. I don't know about 21 though, it seems terribly wrong. Silly American laws.
