So what are your resolutions?

Mine is the same as every year. To not have a resolution.
2006-12-31, 2:34 PM #13
Happy New Year

Yeah, I don't believe in resolutions. In my opinion they're just for people who can't make changes in their life on their own.
2006-12-31, 3:45 PM #14
Yeap. No one really keeps up to their resolutions.

For the first week maybe or month but usually go back to their old selves.

Yea Aglar is right, you don't need a certain time of the year to make changes of your own life.

I usually make changes of my life if something bad happens (Ex. Getting crashed by a car, I then learn to look both right and left)

It's called learning from your mistakes.

or sometimes I choose to make improvements in my life when motivated by something.

For me, the New Year just means I have to right #-#-07 now for the next year...
nothing really motivating about the new year for me.

Sigh...I'm anxious...

My barrel full of snap-its are ready to get slung shot down my balcony with a forceful amount of power....the emergency snap-it catcher is in place (just in case the stick to activate the slingshot comes off)... the stick is in place...other tenants have their confetti/safe fireworks at ready...and now we all wait for the hour to come...

Well I believe Samoa is the last place 2007 will hit.

So this is the new year.
and I don't feel any different.
The clanking of crystal
Explosions off in the distance (in the distance).

So this is the new year
And I have no resolutions
For self-assigned penance
For problems with easy solutions

So everybody put your best suit or dress on
Let's make believe that we are wealthy for just this once
Lighting firecrackers off on the front lawn
As thirty dialogues bleed into one

I wish the world was flat like the old days
Then I could travel just by folding a map
No more airplanes, or speedtrains, or freeways
There'd be no distance that can hold us back.

The highschool from my church had a lock-in last night... man... that was SOOOOOOOOOO awesome.

I brought my wii, and played that with some people, and then more people came and the whole turn taking stuff got weird so I left (people were playing it ALL night straight... poor thing.)

Anyway, we would play mandatory group games ever once and awhile and they were all FUN.

First one was a twisted form of volley ball in the sanctuary(chapel)(auditorium)(whatever you want to call it) (all the chairs were moved/stacked). We played with big black moving storage boxes in front of us, so we couldn't see the other side... twas fun.

Then later we played hide and go seek, except when you found the person you had to hide with him. Heh, I was REALLY bad at that game... I kept being like "Dude... why am I the only one left in the building..."

Then we played traditional hide and seek, and I was sooo sure I had a good spot, but someone found me... ;_;

One of the leaders won because he crawled into a passageway that was behind some boxes and went into an empty space under the stage. He said he remembered me walking up to the passageway entrance and saying "This is a brightly lit sideroom, no one could possibly be hiding anywhere near here!"

Then we later played Capture the Flag, with upstairs being one teams territory and downstairs being my teams territory. That was weird, and actually ended up with me in the copier/back office room with like... 6 people trying to rip a flashlight(the flag) out of my hand...

Crazy.

Then we played a strange form of CTF in the sanctuary where we all had balloons and if the enemy killed our balloon we were out... and we played it with flickering lights... so... um. That was different because I totally went after this *ANONYMOUS* girl during the 5 seconds of darkness to try to kill her balloon and all I did was smack her alot... heheh.

Then later everyone started to settle down and watch Nacho Libre in the sanctuary. That put most people to sleep, but I reluctantly watched it all.

It's really not that great, especially not the second time around.

After it was over just about everyone was asleep, and some people had lined up chairs and fallen asleep on them.

WELL

I took this a step further, and made a wicked awesome schiltron testudo fortress out of nothing but chairs. The entrance was a labyrinth through the giant black storage boxes that had been used during the volley ball.

It was the perfect base of operations for all my espionage for the night. Oh, and to make it better, I built it while everyone in the sanctuary was asleep, so they all woke up and the stragler chairs in the room had been moved into the center, where my awe-inspiring fortress now stood.

It was very spacious, had very concealing walls, and was completely covered. I kept a big broken candy cane made of plastic in it. Along with my shoes and a beachball and a small kickball.... heheh, and my cellphone/car keys.

Anyway, after the fort was complete, I began my most notable espionage missions.

First off, the projector had been paused during the credits of Nacho Libre, and it was really bright.
I snuck upstairs into the soundbooth, and very stealthily hit a big power button... and then all the lights in the soundbooth went off and there was a loud POP sound.

Then someone downsairs was like "Gah....."

So I fled... but returned a few moments later and shut down the computer in the sound booth. This turned the movie off.

Then I noticed some lights on the stage were the REAL problem, so I slid through the shadows and into the sideroom where the dim glow of the stage lights revealed their switch.
I wasn't sure what would happen. Either more lights would come on and people would wake up, or all the lights would go out.

I flipped it, and then there was total darkness (except for the projector, which was still shooting off a faint glow...)

I slipped back to my fortress and watched from within.

The youth pastor woke up and walked around (And I -very- sneakily avoided him) (MGS style) and used my labyrinth of big boxes to hide behind... and then once safe in my base I could just look through the cracks... and yeah.

He went over and turned the lights back on (that I had turned off)

This made a couple kids annoyed, because they had been my main supporters during all this. (anti light, pro sleep)

I spent almost the entire night acting completely crazy and pretending I was Solid Snake and just being completely silly.

Bascially, the opposite of how I am normally. (calm, quiet, reserved, serious, etc)

Fun fun.

I even had my cell phone playing the MGS-Opera Intro on loud in my pocket for part of it. I snuck up behind some people and they were like "What is that...? Opera music?"

Man... I just got back and really need some sleep, but wow. I just had a lot of fun.
