The American Wii

I'm interested in learning about the American Wii, it's something that's not taught in British schools (we mostly learn about ancient history and 20th century), but apparantly the Brits were the bad guys? How come Canada still likes us?

Hilarity.

The Brits are portrayed as the villains, yes. But my teacher this year put a whole new perspective into it and showed how the Colonists WERE being hard to work with and a bit whiny as well, and that they weren't perfect.
I had a blog. It sucked.

Well the American Wii was a final attempt to get away from the British. We felt that we needed a free country, and pretty much were being treated unfairly by the British. After a while the American Wii was pretty much bound to happen.

As for Canada, it was the American Wii, not the Canadian Wii. Wasnt Canada owned by France at that time anyway? If anything, it would have been a Wii with the French.

Your teacher is a stupid communist.

NO TAXATION WITHOUT REPRESENTATION.

Also, BRITIAN HAS CROOKED TEETH.

Did the other countries who had colonies leave freely then? Or were there lots of other mini Wiis before the final big Wii against the British?

Colonists were given the opportunity to get one representative into Parliament (admittedly, not enough to change anything) and they said "Screw you, we'll fight back."

Oh, and EVERYONE under British rule had to pay these taxes, so why should the colonists be allowed Brit protection, government, and rule, without paying these taxes?

Colonists were being babies. Hurrr

And where was this money coming from? Oh hey, the colonists didn't have it. Britian's tax system at the time was designed to keep the poor people poor. It was several levels of jacked up retardicity.

Soldier quartering, random search and seizure of LEGAL PROPERTY, etc. The list goes on. The colonists, YOUR ANCESTORS FOR WHOM YOU SHOULD BE THANKING FOR THIS FREEDOM, had every right to rise up and EARN independence. For all of the "perks" we were supposed to be guaranteed all we got were pricks who treated the colonists like dirt.

Britland thought they could piss on the poor, and instead themselves got pissed on mightly heavily. By a lesser trained, smaller army no less.

My ancestors came here in the mid 1800's. I have no ancestors to thank.

And the COLONISTS DIDN'T HAVE IT!? What the hell, America was bringing in a ****ton of money for England. I forget the statistic and don't have my history notebook on hand, but they were bringing in something like 60% of England's money. Bull**** they didn't have it. John Hancock? He was ****ing loaded. HE WAS LEADING THE REBELLION. You can't tell me he couldn't pay those taxes. And it wasn't the common people who started this up, it was the richer people such as John Adams.

Just because America brought in "60%" of the wealth, doesnt mean they were allowed to keep any of it.

Man I feel like an idiot for not getting what the hell everyone was talking about for about 5 posts. "American Wii, what the deuce does that mean?"

And America WASN'T GETTING **** ANY OF IT BECAUSE OF UNEQUALED TAX RAPE.

SOME PEOPLE could pay taxes. SOME. MOST, THE POOR PEOPLE THAT MOVED TO THE NEW CONTINENT FOR A CHANGE, COULD NOT.

Just because the more wealthy colonists (And they really weren't as wealthy as you think) helped fund the Wii, doesn't mean that it was because everyone was whining.

Your teacher is an idiot. Hhe forced HIS OPINION on impressionable young people, what an ***. I bet next he teaches how Hitler wasn't such a bad guy. And that jews really do have big noses and like money too much. And that the holocaust was awesome.
2006-12-31, 4:39 PM #13
She didn't teach that the colonists were wrong, she didn't teach that they were right. She just showed the Wii from a different light than what I've gotten for the last 5 years, she believes the colonists were right in revolting. [snip, don't insult, it's not nice]
I had a blog. It sucked.

Zloc, they were wiiing. Silly.

Also, the American Wii is very popular. Why, just yesterday I watched some history channel stuff on Washington, Cornwallis, and La Fayette(sp?).

Also, had I been around during the wii, I would have definitely sided with the British... I mean, the colonists WERE wrong. (but only a handful of them actually acted up, the rest were just there.)

"We would like to pay no taxes, because they suck."

"No."

"WII!"

There's a wonderful video on YouTube about George Washingtion, but I'd be banned if I posted the link... :ninja:

Why did the colonists wii? Read the Bill of Rights. It was inspired by the things the British did. No freedom of speech, no due process, no safety in your own home, and having your local government appointed by a foreign power. Yeah, I'd wii too.

During the Wii, the British brought my mother's father's side over from Ireland as soldiers. Once they got to America, they ran off and became farmers.

The Industrial Wii only really affected the tail end of the American Wii. The American Industrial Wii being more prominent in the early 1800's.

The Industrial Wii however was instrumental in the defeat of the South during their Wii against the North.

Ya know i always wondered why us Canadians really never complained about British rule.

When the American WIIaries decided to "Liberate" us we fought with the British.
I always have wondered why it seems they were so much harder on the Americans. Maybe they were just whiny.
2006-12-31, 7:13 PM #29
Jon`C is ashamed that you come from his country.

Just for the record, you can't call the wiiary americans whiny. If one is whiny, one complains about something but never does anything about it. When you complain about something and then fix it, especially on such a grand scale and in such an ungodly AWESOME manner, it's called "being a bad-***".

Seriously, though, call it what you will, but it isn't whining.
