How do you focus?

So, I pretty much haven't been able to do or focus on homework for a month and a half. Call it severe senioritis. Any suggestions? Weird treatments, etc.

Blocking out any and all distractions is a requirement for me; with the occasional exception of music. I get distracted and off track really easy, so I have fix it where I can't be distracted.

And just buckle down and get started. After I get the ball rolling, I can get a lot done. Getting started is the hardest.

I try to concentrate but then I leave things up to the last minute. Oh well.

Senior year I didn't really do homework. I did major papers the night before they were due, or in the class they were due. The rest of the years I didn't do homework either, really.

So do NOT ask me.

I'm just happy I came out with A's and B's in the end.

Don't do homework within 500 ft of a computer with internet access.

I used to shut off my modem, which is 2 stories below where I'm sitting, and turn up some classical music. Worked a charm.

I'll set away messages and turn off notifications for any sort of messaging software, play my 'Study' playlist (mostly Star Wars, and orchestral video game arraignments), and if I don't need the computer, I'll turn off the monitor.

I've found that the library is the most quiet removed sanctuary of study in the entire world. Maybe if you really have something you need to do you could go to the library? It's hard to get distracted there.

Music, preferably through headphones. And dont position yourself near a window or where there's anything interesting to look at.

I've got the exact same problem.

My old technique of disconnecting the net connection and sticking on all my acoustic music just doesnt seem to work this year.
nope.

Every time I need to get some serious work done, I boot up linux and use a nondistracting Window manager like fluxbox instead of the usual KDE. I also manually disconnect the router so I won't be tempted to distract myself with the internet.

Music helps too. I prefer classical or neo-classical-type music, lyrics are distracting. Some people I know can work while listening to dance music (they say that the beat keeps them focused) but it just makes me neurotic.
