Electric car. Eww.

Quite sporty and surprisingly powerful for a Lexus. Reminds me of a Mazda RX8 for some reason.

- Audi R8
These are actually already in production. Very cool move for the usually rather (off te racetrack anyways) sedate Audi.

Meh. Really reminds me of the Holden VE Commodore for some reason, which incidentally is getting rebadged as a Pontiac and sold in the states shortly.

Technically, the Volt is a hybrid. It has a small gas moter that drives a generator.
And when the moment is right, I'm gonna fly a kite.

Atleast the Volt doesn't look as bad as other hybrids, like the Honda Element. Is the specialized motor bigger or something that it requires significantly, different (and often ugly) car designs?

Also, am I the only person who thinks the Holden Efijy is trying much too hard to be retro? (if that makes sense)

The Efijy is supposed to be similar to a modern chopped FJ Holden.

Did you go by Dodge and see the new Challenger? I saw it at the LA Auto show last month.
It was pretty sweet, but it looked almost like the Charger.

Now the new Camaro was something to behold. It looked sweet (mostly, the tail lights/bumper area needed work), and the specs were very nice.

I read an article in the Sun newspaper about the show, and it said that Jaguar was the show highlight. Thats great for the British motor industry and shows that British cars can go down well in the US.

The Challenger was cool, mostly because it looks like the old Challenger, although the backend was fugly.

The Audi is the best. It's not over-the-top, it has clear precedent, it's stylish and sleek, but not too thin and squashed in the wrong places, like some of the others. A paritcularly flat hood makes the car seem weaker, and a bad balance between the dimensions of the hood and the tail make it seem just that, unbalanced... However, some of the others go too far, taking archetypal car designs and radically spiffing them up to make them look futuristic instead of just modern, which is much more appealling.

I don't really like any of the designs. They seem to be modern take on retro. The only concepts I liked are the majority of the 4WDs (which seemingly look all the same) and the Lexus LF-A Concept.

I'm fairly sure that car right there is the only one that is/will be made. I'm pretty sure it was more of a pet project by a few of the car designers.

Oh, and I love the Audi as well. I would love to get behind the wheel of a new RS-4.

you are aware that Ford owns them, and has a large control in the design of them, right?

i stopped liking jags when Ford bought them, because they ceased to resemble jags.

Well it is a concept... and Jag concepts tend not to have the same styling when they're done.

The new XK did, but they also were lucky enough to have the guy who designed the DB9 do that one.

Yeah but I think he just went over the DB9 with some tracing paper and the guys at Jag bought it...

Meh I've never really liked Jags anyways. If we're talking British cars gimmie an Aston Martin, Lotus, Noble, or TVR over a Jag any day.

Ford interceptor looks good, but seems like a counter-Dodge Magnum

Chevy Camaro looks good as well, but I think I would rather have the current Mustang or 09 Dodge Challenger :cool:

It's almost like the Pony Car Wars return, with the absence of the Pontiac Trans Am among others :saddowns:

I just hope when Pontiac does remake a Firebird it isn't lame like their new GTO
