Background is from DeviantArt. First good one I've run across in awhile. Good as in, my mouth dropped when I saw it. There have been other good ones, but none that did that. Icons are from the IcedSystem pack for IconPackager. The Skin is 3FX for WindowBlinds and I can toggle that transparency on the windows. Fairly handy for seeing what's under it without minimizing or clicking randomly on the taskbar. Of course, that's why we also have WindowShading, which this skin does when you rightclick the title bar.

Yeah... I like my desktop... and my skin... and my icons...

Where'd you get that handy stat monitor in the lower right, if you don't mind?

Samurize

Best program ever. There are so many different options you can configure and so many ways to set up a monitor it's incredible. I think I have about 6 presets now, most named after the bckground they went with incase I ever use that background again.

What I'm using it for is really only the basics of what it's really capable of.

Right now, the text portion is set up to tell me the day, so I don't have to check the clock, my system Uptime, the time left until the release of Halo 2 (12 midnight Nov. 9th. Yes, I am a very large loser.), the song currently playing (It goes, Artist, Song name, Album, Track time.)

The graphs tell me my current CPU usage in a text percentage, and a 2 minute graph. Physical memory usage is given to me in percentage and mb. The left portion of the graph is percentage, the right mb, the totals are also in text. Same applies to the virtual memory usage.

More than you ever wanted to know about my little system meter. But seriously, go get that program and play around with it. It is definately worthwhile.

Yeah.. that's exactly what I did. Except when I tried the URL to get the LocID, it didn't work. Get returning me with some error..thing. I had to screw around on the site for a good half hour before I found a location ID that I could use.

Anyways, new desktop.

Glad you guys like it. But why on earth do you need the weather? I've never understood that. Can either one of you seriously not take the minute required to walk to a window? Or even just step outside for 30 seconds?

Aside from that, the real joy of Samurize is being able to make your own configs. I had a few graphics on mine for awhile, but decided they got in the way and consumed too much screen space. Hince my config that is purely text and graphs.

And I forgot my OSX desktop when I posted mine.

1280 x 1024

It's as high as my video card can get, and by golly that's high for my wimpy monitor.

I tried Litestep on my 90Mhz Win98 machine with 64 meg of Ram. I could've really used the "freed memory" it claimed to be able to give me. Sadly, it hogged just as much as the normal Shell.

It looks nice, and probably does some pretty cool things (I didn't use it long enough to see any of them), but it's not for me.

I changed mine two days ago. I'd upload it and show it to everyone, but all I did was change the background. I don't have another skin or icon set that fits it as well.

Yeah... It's time to start developing one of my own again. I only enjoy useing desktops made by other people for a short time.
