Question for the Wii owners

Now that you've had the console for a few weeks, and the "omgitslikei'mreallyswinging" feelings of joy have worn off, how do you feel about the console? I'm considering getting one, but I'm not sure if it'll just be a novelty thing that gets old fast, and then I never use.

Well, I don't play it like my PC (hours a day), but its fun to break out on the weekends, especially with friends there.

Connecting to the internet and watching YouTube videos on my television is a pretty cool feature, too.

I'd suggest you get it, because the hype is wearing off but its still a really fun console.

My roommate got his on release, and he seems to enjoy it still.

I like mine. Excite Truck and Zelda are especially awesome, although I wish I could just use a gamecube controller on zelda, the swinging thing is pretty lame in that game.

Rayman Raving Rabbids is pretty lame, they have all these mini games where you have to swing like a crazy person. I haven't found any other games that were good. Games like excite truck have it right because they use the controller in a way that makes sense, zelda, too, except for the sword swinging (it's great for aiming bow & arrow, hookshot, etc.). Rabbids is like they sat in a room thinking of lame ways to move the controller.

The cost is really low, and there are a bunch of games I am looking forward to, like mario, the next zelda, metroid, and hopefully some GOOD first person shooters (no, red steel doesn't count as one, because it's lame).

My friend is STILL playing through Zelda (takes a while, that game) and all my roommates and I still enjoy Wii sports.

I've kind of gotten the feeling of "OK, swinging a controller isn't as revolutionary as I thought," but that's probably because all I've played is Wii Sports. I still have get going on Zelda... I put about an hour in, but I've become not as motivated to continue playing it.

I was never, ever excited about swinging the controller. I was always more excited about using it as a pointing device, and for that, it works fairly well.

I like it still:D

Rayman was alright. I got it just so I can see more of the bunnies. Alot of the games are pretty much the same movements just with a different coat of paint. I'd recomened once it drops to like 20 bucks.

Rayman is the best game ever. You can all go to hell and die :( *runs off weeping*

I beat Rayman and I don't feel the need to go back and play it again, but when friends come over it's always fun to play. I bought Elebits and that takes up most of my time now. I want Wario Ware bad.
Think while it's still legal.

I think I'll buy one for Smash Bros. Brawl.

That'll probably be it.

Love Zelda, love Rayman, and love Wii Sports.
The later two are great with friends.
Red Steel can die a slow and painfull death, though.
Sorry for the lousy German
