Just to clarify:

For those who've never been involved in NeS - just give your thoughts on if she'd be a good artist for the comic.

For those who've had any sort of involvement (which likely means you've had at least one character you've introduced), and you wish her to draw your character, go requesting it!

Draw some Sarn Goodness!

Remember, handsome, cocky italian. Dark and mysterious. But with a twinkle in the eye, and a knee-melting smile.

:) You get the idea.
If you choose not to decide, you still have made a choice.

Blah to Sarn and Jedikirby. I wanna see a Geb and an Ante first, maybe a Krig too. then we can worry about what later characters will look like.

I'd love to see Mimiru, out of curiosity of how someone would draw her (she's never been drawn by anyone but me), but I'm more concerned of if she can replicate Krig's art style more. :p

Yeah, I want to see Geb and Galv!
nope.

As I told people when I was looking for a new artist before, and as I told her -- I'm not looking for someone who can necessarily replicate Krig's style. His style was good, but it'd be a mistake to require other artists to try and draw in someone else's style. Basically, I asked that she draw in whatever style is most comfortable for her, because what I'm looking for is someone who'll produce stuff FREQUENTLY and REGULARLY.

Also, for those people who're requesting stuff -- while I'll certainly be around to help her out, it'd make things a lot easier if you could supply physical descriptions, personalities, previous art work, and profiles, if you got them. Thanks!

Right, but at least a comic style of art would be nice :p

Oh, and this profile I wrote of Mimiru is far more accurate and detailed than anything I could write up on the spot right now, so if you do decide to draw her: http://forums.massassi.net/vb3/showthread.php?t=18370#post250881

She has good art, but it isn't NeS art. It's more fantasy/trippy art and it seems like a far too serious style to have the NeS comic in. Thick black smooth outlines and slightly exaggerated characters are what NeS needs. Something a bit more clean looking then previous comics.
Think while it's still legal.

I'm gonna get started asap...should be a good way to get me back into my drawing over winter break

i could see it working. definately. and if it means a NeScomic again, i'm all for it.

but yeah, i'd like to see some characters before i decide. Geb, Galv and Ares(the already established characters) would be most beneficial.

Can Phantom-Seraph not do it? I thought his recent strip was well-drawn.

But that's not to say you shouldn't do it, Ari.

The stuff he's doing is specifically guest strip material. He said he didn't feel up to being the actual artist, but still wanted to do a little something.

My offer to do it still stands. It'd be pretty easy for me to draw the comic every week. Especially when the material is already written.

Although, I could color, I'm sure someone could color better than me.

Not to step on toes, ari. I just really don't think your art is fit for NeS.

I think anybody who can crank out a comic each week has art fit for NeS. :P

Well Kirby, if you wanna start giving competition, I'd suggest doing something similar to Ari and cranking out whatever NeS-related art you can make. Show a range of characters, and show that you could put out ze art often/regularly :P

I don't want to be competitive at all. I'm offering my services, and I'll draw a few things for you. I'm not trying to outdo ari, though. I'm just saying that her art just doesn't have a cartoony style that you expect out of NeS.

I'll put something together.

You misread me, which is understandable. I simply meant you should do the same thing as Ari is doing right now -- draw a lot (and I mean a lot - at least for 2 weeks) of character sketches, backgrounds, etc. both as a foundation for possible comics to come, for other people to see, and to show that you can and will produce art frequently and regularly.

Just remember how when you first wrote for NeS? Oh yeah -- I'll write all the time! And then you realize just how much "all the time" is... so yeah :P

Steph M? Is this the same Steph M we already know, but with a new name?

It's also interesting that Ari referred to a Steph in her post. A different Steph, or is someone sharing the account?
