this is what happens when you upgrade without notifying the guy who fixes the forums every time we upgrade.

was this upgrade really necessary? we have *alot* of customizations and many of them are only backed up on my computer. i commented them thoroughly at the tops of the files, so it should be easy to find them back as long as you kept backups of the old files.

anyway, i dont see why we need to upgrade at all. do we even get any new features out of this? its such a huge hassle every time... :[

i guess ill get to work tomorrow.

PS, im going to bring back a cool option if i have to invest the time to fix this hunk o junk

i see one for mods, but its broken in the crap themes. check the admin forum for more info, pommy

Mostly a security update, and a better captcha system (you know, you can actually read the letters). The quick reply is ajax.

And guys, if you turn off the wysiwyg editor in your preferences, the reply page isn't bad.

Hey, when you do the theme fixes, can you please make it so the form controls look like form controls instead of black boxes with dark green borders? It's really hard on the eyes. And the submit buttons... don't even look like submit buttons.

everything virtually looks the same, I kinda like the black borders around posts too, although wouldn't be against going back to the old borderless posts either.
People of our generation should not be subjected to mornings.

Are posts randomly being deleted? 3 of my posts, one in the ISB, one in this thread, and another one in an older thread are all missing.

Leave the black borders. It makes it easier to separate the individual posts.

I haven't noticed that at all. Maybe a moderator deleted them?

No we would have seen them too unless they were "physically" deleted (completely removed from the table).

Yeah, you'd see that I posted on the NeS Squared thread, and that it was deleted. Furthermore, it's burried. If a post were deleted, the thread would still be "new," but with the old post as the latest post.

could be a template issue

brad is going to revert all templates back to their defaults and then customize to suit, again

hopefully that will fix it :(

I didn't even notice the gap until i read this thread.. I don't know how you can get annoyed by a what, 5px gap between posts?

I think there was a netsplit between every single zirc node just now, and I thought "oh no, forums are down and I have no #massassi". However, it looks like most of the nodes have now synced, and the forums are back, so all is right with the world.

It works fine in Threeve. He had to redo the themes to get it to work. So use Threeve or get over it :p
