List them as you find them! Alot of them are really cool!

So far I've found:
  • you can edit your post in place, and then submit it, and it updates. all without leaving the page! very AJAXy
  • The quickreply now replies without leaving the page
  • new captcha
  • new moderator features (afraid this one isnt so public ;) )
  • WYSIWYG editor, lets you see how your post will look before you post it! neato

The WYSIWYG editor is not so hot so far. If I put an emoticon here: :D it does not update it until I switch editor modes, to regular then back to this one.

Also I see no fancy ajaxy inline editing or whatever.

Yeah, for those of you who don't have the WYSIWYG editor on (because its off by default from the old forum version), click the A/A button in the upper right corner, or go into your UserCP, in Options, and make the Enhanced editor your default editor.

It's definately the best feature of them all. :p

You need to use the Massassi Threeve skin.
2007-01-15, 11:25 AM #15
Inline editing doesn't work for me :( I just get taken to the edit post page

I've used this (new) version of vB on another forum though

There are lots more features that don't seem to be present here...

No offense, but I think Threeve is disgusting. The old format is way better, I can see the difference between posts much easier. :(
DO NOT WANT.

I would if it used something besides those tones of Green and Black. It's easier on the eyes than the old theme, but it's still ugly.
nope.

Get the Firefox extension Stylish. You can use it to change CSS rules and thus change the colors of Threevee, if you want. :)

2007-01-15, 2:12 PM #24
I don't know. I'm rather liking the changes.

We need a mobile devices theme. I'm browsing from my DS and there is alot of stuff that just gets cluttered. Some of the images mess things up too.

The same thing happenrd last time I tried to use my phone to browse.:l
2007-01-16, 11:44 AM #26
Im working on a more minimal theme (which is nowhere near that right now) but hopefully that will work better for you.

Cool. :)

Massassi-ing on the go is so nerdy though. :(

Too bad the DS browser doesn't support anything that requires plugins... But it's good to use to check e-mail/forums and other stuff.

Threeve works fine on the PSP :p

The PSP has a wider screen than both my cellphone and DS.

I can't really tell a difference. Everyone's names are either in a different font, or I held control while scrolling again.

Edit: Oooh, inline editing is nice. I think there should be a way to have img links be in thumbnails and have inline image expansion, or have maybe a separate tag that allows you to do so, like [thumbnail] or something. Then people will have less "linked due to high res" to worry about. Also, where's my hex post count? /_\

Has this been addressed? Or is it just supposed to work that way?
2007-01-17, 6:48 AM #36
If you insert smilies with the dropdown box it will appear, otherwise no. It's probably because it'd screw up if you were trying to type a word that was also a smilie or something.
2007-01-23, 12:59 PM #37
Posts are finally numbered! And when you click the number the specific post opens in a new window.
Looks like we're not going down after all, so nevermind.
