This happens more often than it should. It should be a required part of everyone's education that drinking too much water can kill you.
If you think the waiters are rude, you should see the manager.

The contest is named "Hold your wee"...and I'm guessing women don't have ...

You'd think that after she started to feel pain...

I thought it was. :/
nope.

Man, and I joked about the kids going through unbearable pain because their parents told them they couldn't have a Wii until Christmas...

You'd think the contest organisers would realise that drinking too much water can kill you. >.>;; They should've let them drink a set (and terribly safe) amount of water and then start a endurance contest of an iron will.

Or make the contest entirely more sensible than that.

I would preorder one and then pick it up when it comes out.
2007-01-15, 6:30 PM #11
That's no guarantee, I pre-ordered mine and I still had to wait a week until after it launched to pick it up because the store didn't get enough units at launch. XD But that worked out fine for me anyway.

I know it wasn't when I was in high school. It ought to be covered right along with vitamin overdoses and other such instances of "too much of a good thing."

I'd trade a Klondike Bar for a Wii.

No, that's what I actually did.

This needs to be on one of those reels you show to kids in grade school to scare them into not doing something really ****ing stupid.

/me turns head to the right and stares lovingly at the wii on his desk, *****es.

I learned that in freaking Primary 2.

Which is why I said it ought to be "required" and not "taught to kids some schools but not in others."

In response to the topic:

I'd wait a few months/year.
2007-01-16, 12:55 PM #22
I'd kill someone, probably.
2007-01-16, 4:39 PM #23

WATER POISONING != Drowning

If you must insist on an attempt at wit sir, I suggest you try harder or at the very least read up on the thread a little.

Seriously.

How anyone COULDN'T be interested in a wii is pretty hard to believe. :(
2007-01-17, 9:38 AM #28
I haven't touched my Wii in like 3 weeks.

My Nintendo Wii, that is.

I was pretty suprised when I learned you could die from water poisoning. Like has been mentioned earlier, I thought you would drown first -- drinking more water than you could urinate out.

Believe it. The games just aren't really for me. Zelda interest me, but I already bought Twilight Princess for GameCube. Wii Sports doesn't have enough depth for me to be all that engaging. The other games currently available don't really interest me either. Metroid Prime and Super Smash Brothers are fun, but it's not something I'm eagerly anticipating. A well designed system yes, but ultimately it comes down to what games that interest me to warrant a purchase.

You don't drown, your electrolytes get overdiluted.
