I just saw The Last King of Scotland, and it was really really good. Dunno if it counts for this year or last, but it comes highly recommended :D

Snakes on a Plane, hands down the best movie of '06.

Let's face it, 2006 kind of sucked for movies. 2005, though...

I'm not sure when the limited release of V was, but I know the world premiere was at the Alamo Drafthouse Butt-Numb-A-Thon on December 11, 2005.

So unless you saw it there, I highly doubt you saw it in 2005.

Besides that I just went to see PotC2, Superman Returns, X-Men III and Da Vinci Code. So CR is clearly the winner. At least for now.

As for Borat, I laughed during it, but after a day or so I couldn't remember why I had laughed and was just left unsatisfied.

The idiots around my school adopting every line from the movie into their lingo didn't help either.

The thread starter said to name the best movie you saw last year, and I saw duct tape forever for the first time last year. He didn't specifically say that came out in 2006
