Well, well . ..

I suppose if I put in a little effort, it'll be appreciated by the JK community, simply because it's fun.

But besides this little "blog", let me say this one thing; wow, what a cool 10 years. My best PC experience has been with JK and it's widely-available _fun networkings. As for the Massassi Temple:

Everyone . . . . . .
We are in the golden age of gaming.

Ageia PhysX PPU [physics processing unit]

nVidia GeForce 8800 GTX (x2)

7.1 surround sound

multiple monitor support

1.5 gigs of GDDR3. { 8O }

1080p hi-def resolutions

...Editing communities going commercial more easily.

. Wow.

So, anyone wanna start making some stuff if I release a smaller, yet 'sweet level?

Are games even start using Physics Processing cards?

And here I thought this was a BSG thread. I'm disappointed.
Pissed Off?

Those physics cards appear to be mostly useless.

nonsensical

A couple games use it, I believe. I'm pretty sure you can optimize some current games, too. Ah, well......isn't it CRZY how good we'll have it soon?

Anyway, yeah...I DEMAND an update to the page.......Just one, even if it's stupid.
I'm seriously making a level. . . A good one!

Now that we have all this technology we can finally retire to our computers and edit JK.
Hey, Blue? I'm loving the things you do. From the very first time, the fight you fight for will always be mine.

A good level? Oh I trust it will be good.

Good, or someone will die.

On a side note, I tried JED for the first time in awhile. Confusing at first.
I'm too much of a brush-boy.

No I mean that multi-core processors and GPU's are probably going to render physX totally useless.

PhysX cards are on the absolutely glacial PCI bus. Their only use is to increase the number of detail objects, which - respectively - reduce framerates because it requires more graphics power to render them. Even in the game that was designed to showcase the capabilities of the PhysX card, the game performed better when it was forced into software emulation mode. PhysX cards are basically useless.

To add insult to injury: DX10 cards are on a faster bus, they already have the general-purpose vector units built right onto them, they support multiple stream sources, you already have to upload geometry/instancing information just to render the scene and your game doesn't need to support any other hardware. Plus, future versions of Havok are going to support physics on the GPU.

If you bought one you wasted your money horribly.

(I thought this was a bioshock thread.)

Yeah, ditto through the title.

So, I pawned my 360 today, I might save some more for nV 8800s. Suxor.

Oh, well. More time devoted towards a project (jk), and CS:Source.
