Well it'd be nice to know about some, I've been thinking about finding some half life mods too. Any good ones out there?? I'm thinking more single player though not multi

Some non-free HL mods include: Blue Shift, Counterstrike, Opposing Force, etc.

Counter-Strike and Opposing Force are free, I think Blue-Shift is too... That's pretty much the whole list isn't it? [http://forums.massassi.net/html/tongue.gif]

They are available from Steam, which is available from steampowered.com. Day of Defeat is worthy of mention(see steam "Games"), Team Fortress Classic is just that, a classic.

A few other notable mods that aren't offered by Steam by default:

Am I just crazy, or is there a mod based on the American Revolution?

Battlegrounds. Aesthetically crappy, but it's fun to play. The models are horrible, the textures and level design are bland, but good god is it fun.

Day of Defeat.. DUH!

I made a thread, that turned into the debate, so I made a second thread, that turned into a debate, then I made a third thread, that caught on fire, burned down, got flamed, crapped on, bashed, then turned into a debate...but the fourth one, the fourth one stayed on topic!
Think while it's still legal.

I thought Blue Shift was an expansion that came out a while ago and had some crappy SP.

It is, SMOCK. It also includes the HD pack, which upgrades the models of higher quality that was meant to be used in the Dreamcast version of the game that got cancelled. I'm pretty sure that Blueshirt isn't downloadable through Steam but I could be wrong.

I do not recall ever entering my OppFor CD-key over Steam. I believe all you need is a legit HL key with which you can download all official steam mods, including Opposing Force.

Is it the SP version or just the MP version that has CTF?
