I don't think he died. It's a cartoon. He likely was flattened into a pancake, was irritated by the situation, then went to purchase a number of hilarious ACME products to aid him in his quest.

Someone in the youtube comments suggests that the "splat" sound we hear at the end isn't a splat at all, but rather a parachute opening (from his ***, he's got crazy ingenuity)
