My friend is offering a brand-new, untouched Mac Mini for $500. I went to the Apple store with him and he bought it for $600 but then didn't need it anymore because he got another computer as a gift.

He will give me in addition for free a wireless apple keyboard, and a wireless mouth. Both have been used, but are in pretty good condition.

So, is it worth the deal?

P.S. I already have a nice monitor I can use..but I don't know if I will be able to connect it to a Mac because it's intended for PC's.

I'd go for it. Macs have great resale value, so I doubt you'll find a better deal (especially with the included keyboard and "mouth" ;)).

I've always a hard time keeping my mouth's cables untangled. Glad that they finally came out with that technology.
