Need tips on cleaning my LCD screen.

I usually use a hankie w/ some alcohol on it (sometimes deodorant even), but that's bollocks. So. How do you do it? And I'd prefer if it's by household stuff.

The best stuff so far was the spray I use to clean my glasses, OPTINET + water.

Get a wet paper towel and put VERY little water on the screen and wipe with a glasses cloth cleaner.

Works fantastically.

Alcohol works fine. The more pure, the better. 95% is about as pure as you can get, anything lower has silicones and other stuff to prevent the skin from drying out when using it as a disinfectant.

A microfiber hanky (one used for eyeglasses) that's slightly damp will work.

You guys are idiots.

You don't use paper to clean your glasses, do you?

Turn off monitor WET one half a 100% COTTON wash cloth. Wipe screen down. Dry screen with the dry half. BEING CAREFUL AT ALL TIMES NOT TO SCRUB.

It's not that damn hard. LEARN HOW TO READ MANUALS.

I've generally found that a blob of muck big enough to be annoying is big enough to scrape off with a fingernail.

If they're glass glasses, you could clean them with steel wool. But more likely polycarbonate with bogus anti-scratch coatings.

Damn, I'm glad I've got contacts.

I clean my glasses with paper. Of course, I always buy real glass, and I skip on all those bogus 'coatings'. My sunglasses I also clean with paper, despite them being polycarbonate or something. Scratches don't show on tinted lenses, and, really, you'd have to use sandpaper to get scratch damage bad enough to hinder vision.

For the LCD screen, well, it's plastic. The ideal cleaning method is soap and water, but clearly that is out. Being gentle is much more important than what you are being gentle with.
Wikissassi sucks.
