Google has failed me. Does anyone have/know where to get the open/close sound of one of the death star doors from the original trilogy? The one that's all like PSHH-AAHHH

Well, if you have a dvd drive I know theres free programs available with which you could rip the sound yourself.

Look in your res1hi.gob from JK. It contains all the door sounds from DF, one of them being that.

I saw how that did it at a Star Wars exhibition I went to with my uncle a few years ago, but I can't remember that particular sound for the life of me.

I can however remember that they made the TIE noises by running an electric razor around the inside of a textured glass fruitbowl.

Actually that was a pretty damn awesome exhibit. Most of the original models and props etc used in the films.

The same exhibition actually was here in 2001.

For the love of God, I have no f'ing idea why I didn't go there. :(
