Hmm, this game looks interesting. It would be weird playing without any mages/wizards. Well there were few wizards in ME.

Is anyone playing the Beta version of it?

I have been playing beta, I was initially impressed by the dwarf start (which I wont go into too much detail but it involved a cave troll).

It was fairly stable- bar a ridiculous music setting- with few bugs. But all in all It didnt feel epic. It looked ok and played ok but it felt like any other MMO. Its character trait system is radically different however than others but it doesnt to me do anything uberly different just a bit better.

I played the stress test and it was fairly interesting.

And Loremasters are basically wizards.

Wow.

Anyways, I'll stick to WoW and StarTrek Online (When it arrives). LotR-O doesn't look all that great.

If by Americans you mean yourself, then yes, everyone hates you

I'm a part of the closed beta. The game is pretty dry at first, but it's getting a lot better. :)

I played for a while. It has it's moments, and can be REALLY fun, but it's obvious that it was designed to simply suck money from you. Skills take literally weeks to learn.

:(

That sounds like alot of suck.

I really just wanted to try my hand at being a drifting space BAD-***.

You can do that, but you're still going to have to learn skills. And the highest level skills take in upwards of 3 weeks or longer to learn.

Once you get farther though, and have learned a lot of the main skills for what you want to be (I was a scientist / miner and made a lot of money in my corporation selling designs and stuff.. was fun) and thus gave them a bunch of your money and time, it gets fun. I quit shortly after I learned a bunch of my main stuff thinking "If I were playing WoW again I could actually get things done instead of mine stuff all day waiting for a ticker"

However, the character creation is REALLY in depth for what it is (You make a face and put it in a pose as your portrait... I think you can change the pose if you give them more money)
