i've only played JK over the Zone before so I mgiht need a little hlep on how to connect. First, do I need any kind of patch? I also went to "Join Game" and clicked the Internet blah blah blah option. It searched for the IP a long time and then I just hit cancel. Should it take a long time to find the game?

I just spent 15 minutes with "Searching........." on my JK screen. It's not going to happen.

K, due to the fact no one was joining I closed the game. If enough people would like me to open it up later just say so.

The University of North Carolina has finally found a network server that, although missing for four years, hasn't missed a packet in all that time. Try as they might, university administrators couldn't find the server. Working with Novell Inc., IT workers tracked it down by meticulously following cable until they literally ran into a wall. The server had been mistakenly sealed behind drywall by maintenance workers.

That's why you have to specify a time. Make a thread a few hours before the actual game. It gives people time to see the thread and say "ooh, I'll be there!".

And anyone who likes playing JK should go to #massgames. That's what it's there for. No one goes there because they say no one's in there. If more people would stay there, it would become useful again.
