Interesting. I imagine the trouble in Europe has had a hand in starting this off, but his argumnents seem fairly simple and logical.

I remember when France nearly banned DRM and made downloading copyrighted things practically legal.

They could have become the best country in the world then :(

I guess we need a Pirate Party revolution for this century. Now that would rock.

Makes sense to me. Apple and the other music providers have their hands tied by Music Corporate, get rid of Music Corporate, or at least change their ideas about online music sales, and you'll have a richer marketplace.

I think DRM is only gonna last so much longer. Honestly. Apple's pushing at the restraints, and that's one of the biggest proponents of DRM, not to mention DRM keeps getting stricter, which makes people want to buy the music less and less, and in some case is too strict (see: Sony BMG). I give it a year before the walls start coming down on it.
