Mole Bombs, Concrete Donkeys, The Salvation Army! Worms is kickass and anyone who disagrees is a fun-hating commie. Or a hippie depending on whcih they prefer; they get the other.

Anyhoo the other day I dug out Worms World Party and Armageddon and was surprised to find that theres a whole bunch of people that still play online. It's awesome fun and it brings back some amazing memories. :D

Anyway, does anyone still own/play the worms games? Whats your favourite incarnation, and whats your favourite weapon too?

Armageddon, hands-down. World Party just doesn't seem as good, and Worms 2 is suck compared to Armageddon.

I'll be the trendwhore and say that my favorite weapon is the Holy Hand Grenade; beyond that, it's the baseball bat - there's nothing more satisfying than knocking two or three enemy worms off of the island with a single swing.

I remember Armageddon the best, so that.

As for favorite weapons, I loved Super Sheep.

Oh, forgot to mention my fave is Armageddon too. :P

And I just found out that all the second generation 2d games can play online together. Anyone up for a match?

The only worms I've played was the worms mod for Half-Life.

Which was alot of fun.

I didn't notice any differences in armageddon and world party. They were pretty much the same, but I'm going to go with armageddon.

My favorite weapon would have to be the standard bazooka and baseball bat.

Last time I tried to play Armageddon It didn't want to work right on windows XP. :( That was ages ago though so there might be a patch or something.

The original was always my favourite, it's just great fun with a couple of friends.

Funny, I just saw the picture in name that game source thread for worms and I immediately started acquiring my favorite, Worms Armageddon. I lost my copy.:rolleyes: 34% :(

Only played Armageddon.

Favorite weapon would either be Holy Hand Grenade, or maybe the Super Sheep. A lot of the special weapons I didn't get too much experience with.

in Liero I made a full banana weapon set. 40 weapons, including the Death Banana, which lagged the game for a couple seconds while it generated the couple hundred projectiles that filled the majority of the screen. hiding behind walls didn't work too well :o

World Party was just a much better version of Armageddon, IMO. I played World Party before Armageddon too, so my opinion is a bit skewed.
Think while it's still legal.

Liero rocks. I basically played that for a whole years worth of college during classes with my friends :P

I love turning the fire rate up really high and just creating loads and loads of water.

I had the Liero mod program (can't remember what it's called, did weapons and maps), and I wrote a program myself to compile weapon lists from individual weapon configs. Played that a lot.

and the rocket launcher is king, when you know how to use it. but i also love the baseball bat :D
