WinXp VirtueDesktops?

I just bought Parallels for my Windows XP computer after seeing the spinning box thing that changes the desktop screen, and now I realized that VirtueDesktops is for Mac. Is there any program like VirtueDesktops, but for Win?

That is so funny. It's like buying diet soda on accident, except that this was like buying 50 of them without reading the labels. Kudos on your new purchase. Now go buy a stupid mac to justify your purchase.

Yeah... read the system requirements more CAREFULLY next time.

If you haven't opened the box they'll probably let you get a refund, but try to think up some excuse first unless you want the return counter guy to laugh at you :downs:.

Here's Microsoft's FREE Virtual Desktop Manager PowerToy, there are plenty of others but this offers basic functionality: Direct EXE link

He's talking about VirtualDesktops. The spinning cube thing is a secondary effect - the primary one, of course, is the ability to integrate a virtualized copy of Windows into the OSX desktop.

To get the spinning cube you need an operating system that does 3D hardware compositing. I'd recommend you upgrade to Vista but then you'd probably just whine on here when you lost all of your files.

So until I upgrade to vista (I'm not stupid enough to lose my files...just this time:argh: ) I will be able to get the spinning cube then?

Great. I worked overtime for no ****ing reason.

I blame my hot dates for not thinking well.

No.. you cant install Mac software on Vista either.


Vista doesn't have the spinning cube inbuilt.

I find it funny you bought a program just for a spinning cube in the first place, much less bought a mac program and expect it to work in windows.

Mac Parallels = $80

I think the nVidia driver also gave you virtual desktops.
Or was it the ATI driver?
