Well I'm on vacation... away from my computer.

I'm using my aunt's computer... with no Mozilla Firefox or mIRC in sight.

Oh well, I'll be back Friday afternoon.

Anyways I'm helping my aunt clean up her comp. She had about 90 adware items and 30 virii (most of them System Restore backups of virii) including Sasser, Padobot and something called Rbot... One of them even seemed to have deleted her Norton Antivirus (not a trace of it, no start menu/desktop icons, no program files or folders, nothing except LiveUpdate).

Me and my dad got her hooked up with Adaware and one of many lesser known antivirus program.

We also downloaded XP SP1, and right now I'm downloading several other patches. Over 56k, yay.

My aunt didn't even know her antivirus program was gone until we went looking for it. .'/

So yeah... any of you who are still awake get a cookie.

Did you use spybot too?
Spybot gets stuff that Adaware doesn't.
And the extra features like immunity and ActiveX / Host file protection is great.

I had to help one of my friends with spyware and adware problems a few weeks back. THe computer was a weeks or so old, but it was loaded. I know how you feel.
