Can anyone recommend me a good book to start with? I don't intend on becoming a doctor but it would be nice to have some knowledge of the human body. Isn't someone in Massassi a doctor?

I spent $280+ on my A&P books. Unless you're willing to spend that much, go to a library.

I'm with Roach. I spent over $700 for one semester of Anatomy & Physiology (with Patho)...while the books I have are excellent...they're pricey. I liked my Patho book by Porth. The anatomy book is by Marieb, I believe. It's decent. I reference it a lot. But seriously...use Wikipedia or Google Scholar.
