Really, it's not like there were any spoilers in it, unless you really wanted to spend the $8 to find out that it sucks.

The movie in question is Ghost Rider, and I saw it today. Watch it for the one scene where Carson Slade goes flamey. That's also not a spoiler. It's in the damn promos. The rest of the movie is awful. Bad writing. Worse acting. And lame jokes every other shot.

There you go. Simple sentence.

From the trailers, Nicolas Cage doesn't seem well suited for the part.

Ghost Rider is a boring super hero anyways.

Yeah, what's up with all of the "lesser" heroes making it on the big screen, like Ghost Rider, DareDevil, etc.?

Daredevil isn't a lesser hero...

Also, if you watch the Directors Cut of Daredevil it's pretty damn awesome.

I actually enjoyed the theatrical release of Daredevil.

Beat the pants off the two Spider-Man movies.

Ghostrider is awesome. I did have low expectations since it's based on a mediocre comic but they pulled it off pretty good. I was never a fan of the comic so I don't know how closely they followed the storyline but it really doesn't matter in this case.

My favorite comic books when I was little was Iron Man, The Green Lantern and Sgt. Rock.

Where are their movies?
2007-02-18, 12:37 PM #11
Iron Man is being made as far as I know. So are Flash and Wonder Woman, I imagine Green Lantern and Martian Manhunter will follow.

I actually enjoyed Nicholas Cage doing this role. Breath of fresh air after countless films like National Treasure and Matchstick Men where he's this semi-nervous, somewhat stuttering same-role-as-always type of person.

Too bad the rest of the movie was ruined by line after line of cliches. Agh. Aghghghghg.

The ending was predictable, did anyone really believe he was going to give up being hte Ghost Rider?

Anyone else remember Dane Cook's "Superhero gay" joke?
2007-02-20, 12:54 PM #17
No, because that would further the stereotype that Dane Cook is funny.

If he bleeds, I'll say 'I guess not'."

I thought that was funny.
