Did Sylar have an original power?

Or it was just wishful thinking? >.>

Hell if I know. We were originally meant to think that Micah was just along for the ride, but then we found out he could manipulate machines. I'm not ruling out the possibility that Ando has telekinesis or something.

Not true. Right from the beginning, there were clues that Micah had some kind of power having to do with electronics. Those clues were clarified when we saw him use his power to make the broken pay phone work.

However, I don't think there have been any clues to suggest that Ando has a power, and if he did, it would have most likely already manifested itself.

Besides, it would be a bit silly if everyone in the story had powers.

well... to his credit the story is *about* those that have powers, so it would make sense to focus on them.

But speaking of people without powers, I want to see that FBI agent that was with Parkman again. What happened to her?

Parkman was tossed out on his ***, that's what happened.

They ditch the characters that they're done with.

I miss Zach.
2007-02-21, 10:26 PM #48
I think Zach will make a reappearance, but the focus just isn't on him. Notice they've got too many characters...it should've been made into a couple of series with all they've got. They couldn't even fit nikki/jessica, micah and what's his face in this last ep.

I doubt Zach will return. The writers have said they have no problems killing off/cutting characters, and after Zach's agent through a fit about his character being gay, which the writers deliberately wanted, I doubt they'll write him in any new episodes.

He's already signed on for another show too.

Zach was gay? Oh dude, that's lame. I wanted to see him hook up with Claire.

It's all in the Homecoming episode. Or maybe the one before it.
2007-02-21, 11:35 PM #55
I thought that was just Jackie being a *****, saying that he was gay because he was just "weird" by her standards. But now that I think about it, there is no other reason I can think of that he would hang out with Claire and not try to hit that.

But then when he goes to get her for homecoming he pretty much comes out, or at least as much as he can with explicitly saying so.

Either way, the writers have said he was supposed to be gay.

Yeah, I almost feel like some kind of perv when I think she's hot, even though she's only 2 years younger than me in the show, and probably around my age in real life.

The writers intended for him to be gay, but NBC threw a fit, saying they didn't want to get into the sexual orientation issue or some such nonsense.

I can't believe Stan Lee had a cameo in the latest episode. Absolute ****ing legend.

I study theoretical Physics and we all had a very long Heroes-inspired discussion about what the equations of motion would be like if time was a vector and could be explicitly manipulated as a conserved quantity and how the laws of physics would be percieved by Hiro (or Peter). We're so cool.

Also, we've seen that Peter has absorbed some of Sylar's powers, but I'm now of the opinion that Peter can only absorb a power when he sees it being used. Sylar would have had lots and lots of powers when he met Peter (Parkman was already investigating a spree of horrible murders, all probably Sylar killing people with powers), but Peter only absorbed the powers that Sylar used against him - not his entire arsenal of powers. That could turn out to be interesting.

That's what I'm thinking too--he can recall the power being used everytime he uses it himself.

Also, good to see you around mort :)

She's almost 18. :)

And yes, she is super hot.

I still want an explanation of why, if Hiro was rewinding time, Hope didn't simply shoot him again.

It's crazy to think that she was Coach Yoast's daughter in Remember the Titans.

I know this is a little bit out of context, but IMDB's Trivia page for Masi Oka (the guy who plays Hiro in the show), amongst other things, says:

Originally posted by IMDB:
Graduated in 1997 from Brown University with degrees in mathematics and computer science and a minor in theatre arts.

He has a 180-plus IQ.

In an interview with TV Guide's Michael Ausiello, he said that as of November 2006, he still works one or two days a week as a CGI artist for George Lucas's special effects company Industrial Light & Magic (at which Oka worked on the effects for such films as Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest [2006], War of the Worlds [2005], the three most recent Star Wars movies, and The Perfect Storm [2000]).

One of his hobbies is Kendo (Japanese sword fighting).

Yeah, I read that interview. He coded some of the stuff they use to make their CG critters, and when they need something changed, he goes back, since he knows the code better than any of the other employees.
