They don't do pancake day / Shrove Tuesday as the last day before lent. The Germans do ENORMOUS STREET PARTY. I feel like this may be my spritual home.

It started aa few hours ago (we were still sleeping off 2 solid days of drink/shopping) and will continue into the wee hours.

Home tomorrow, for rest and detoxification.

Heh, a mate of mine was in Munich over the weekend doing a job, and was supposed to be coming back yesterday. I wonder if he decided to stay for the carnival instead.

This is why Germany is badass. I've always wanted to go to the Love Parade (I know this is Fasching but it made me think of it).
