They don't do pancake day / Shrove Tuesday as the last day before lent. The Germans do ENORMOUS STREET PARTY. I feel like this may be my spritual home.

It started aa few hours ago (we were still sleeping off 2 solid days of drink/shopping) and will continue into the wee hours.

Home tomorrow, for rest and detoxification.

Heh, a mate of mine was in Munich over the weekend doing a job, and was supposed to be coming back yesterday. I wonder if he decided to stay for the carnival instead.

So this is what I get for not ranting about Karneval for one year. People actually liking it post here!!!

Gosh, I wish I could be going to a Mardi Gras festival.

This is why Germany is badass. I've always wanted to go to the Love Parade (I know this is Fasching but it made me think of it).
