Once you know how two or three formal languages you can learn a new one in a matter of hours, so it doesn't really make a lot of sense to post a list.

I do, however, know how to make my own programming languages. :P

i learned VB in high school, c++ in college.

dabbled in java and some very basic assembly-level programming

I agree for the most part, but some of the languages that I listed are vastly different. C, Miranda, Java, and assembly are completely different experiences.

I started with C++ and I know a bunch now. I mostly use C, C++, Java, and shell scripting though.

haha, I almost forgot about gwbasic, you guys remembered me of it. C64 Basic, gwbasic, qbasic. I was too young for programming to start with c64/gw basic when they where actual but I didn't get a computer till I was about 13 or 14 and noone in my family cared for computers before i did... so I had to use a 2x86/a c64 while the pentium 133 was modern. but now I think that it was quite good to start this way
