I swear to god, if you agree to pay postage, I will send you every part I replace on my computer for the next year.

I just don't want to hear about how crappy your computer is anymore.

Take into consideration, this would include you getting a AMD 64 3800+, upwards of 1GB ram, and an ATI X850XT. And that's just for starters.

You may ship him the parts, but I doubt he would know what the hell to do with them and might start a fire.

.

...send him the parts.

Me too. Especially that graphic card. I need something to replace my ATI x300.

Why doesn't everyone just pitch in and send this kid some goddamned parts.

It's not like you're ever really going to use those three 256MB sticks of ddr ever again.... or that crappy motherboard you replaced 2 years ago... or so many other things we all have laying around.

I mean, this kid could be playing half life 2 in no time.

And on second note, I have a crapload of old parts laying around that are mostly video cards and ram. If anybody wants to buy anything like that... let me know.

Because he wouldn't know how to install the parts. So it would be a waste.

I mean, you must have been here to read his 394 threads about him installing a new OS.

Building a computer isn't THAT hard... jesus Echoman, he's not a ****in' spider monkey.

I mean, generally speaking, aside from power switches and an ocassional fan snafu, building a computer amounts to "put this where it fits."

Because he's an idiot and doesn't deserve the parts I won't use. :P

I do wish the world was like a condom.

By the amounts of computer related threads he created over the most trivial of computer-related issues, I would disagree. Of course, nothing is stoping you from sending him the parts.

It's not like I'm offering to send him an entire computer... I just offered some ram and an outdated video card.

Judging from his threads, his Windows 98 OS seems completely out of wack. That's why I say sending him parts will probably do no good.

Hmm...remember the Japtalian? What if he's using these parts as a scheme to rule the world with old, used computer parts....

BTW, don't you have PC Cafe's where you're at?

The difference is, there are options when installing an OS.

When building a computer, it's shoving color coded male-square into color
coded female square.

And that's it.

Oh, sometime's the use circles. But that's pretty much only for older mice and keyboard ports. So pretty much everything else is square and rectangular.

well, there are also those pins you plug in to the motherboard that deal with power on, power off, etc as well as the ones for usb ports... he might not figure that out as quickly. sometimes they aren't color coded.
2007-02-27, 11:27 AM #28
If you screw up the onboard USB ports you can short out the USB drive, causing the PC to fry what you plug into it, the motherboard and possibly anything plugged into it.
