I just got a Spur-Thigh Tortoise. Will post pics later. He's about 2 inches long, but in several years he will be over 3 feet long.

Anybody else own any kind of exotic pets?

I've never owned any exotic pets, but the nearest to a pet thats rare/exotic was the family cat Oscar who was a Tonkenese (Siamese and Burmese cross breed) and apperently there are only 300 in Britain. Oscar's birth was an accident as the Burmese cat Cassy was pregnant and well the family vet, delivered Oscar along with Floyd and Alexander and the three all went to different homes. He had never actully seen a Tonkenese before. Sadly he passed away 18 months ago, but he's been never forgotten.

Yeah suppose that should count :)

I just usually find animals in my backyard and post pictures of them. Remember all those threads I made back last summer?

Oh and I have some cats and a dog and a horse and a miniature donkey but they aren't really all that exotic.

Just a budgie here, although they come from Australia, so technically it's exotic for britain. :P

My mate has a tortoise. Not sure what kind, but his name is Sam, is just over 50 and he's about a foot long. Actually he'll be coming out of hibernation right now I would think.
nope.

Yeah, the kind I bought doesn't hybernate. He's also only a month old.

How good does he taste?

What are you going to do with a 3 foot tortoise?

Feed it and take care of it. What else would I do with it?

They don't need a lot of space.

Are you in a dorm or an apartment? Or are you in a house?

I'm in a quite large apartment. I'm sure I'll have moved by the time he's 3 feet long and 150lbs though, which will be in about 20 years or so.

Iguanas do not count as exotic. Neither do boring snakes like ball and burmese pythons. What ever kind of freaky albino snake that is counts though, and so does NAILFACE!.

My pet is the most exotic ever. I have a dog. But she's a very very exotic breed, I think they are called 'beagles'.
Wikissassi sucks.

she's not actually albino, her colouring is due to breeding (for sport, obviously, she'd never survive in the wild). her species is called either snow or ghost, I can't remember. she's got yellow markings though, which are pretty vivid after shedding.

she does have red eyes, which makes her look rather evil...

Yeah, I agree. A burmese python that can reach 20 feet in length is "boring."

Although NAILFACE is amazingly kickassingly awesome, you do realise that Hedgehogs can be found anywhere you care to look?

Murc, what do you feed him on?
nope.

He's an african pygmy. So he's not really from anywhere.

I feed him a steady diet of small children and beer.

I know a guy who has/had (i duno if its still alive now, it was old when i saw it) that had a tortoise almost big enough to fill the bed of his F-250. I duno where he got it, but he seems to take good care of it.

better name choice: "Sir pointy face"
The tips at the end of shoelaces are called "aglets". Their true purpose is sinister.
