Something that might possibly shake my fervent atheism...

http://www.thechurchofgoogle.org/

Well, not really, but it does make some very interesting points that are very relevant in our secular 'information age'.

My favourite:
Quote:
Google is the closest to an Omniscient (all-knowing) entity in existence. She indexes over 9.5 billion Web Pages, which is more than any other search engine on the web today. Not only is Google the closest to all-knowing, but She also sorts through this vast amount of data using Her patented PageRank method, making said data accessible for us mere mortals.

Quite often do I get some piece of information from Google and assume it to be correct, which I suppose isn't that different from taking a piece of information from arbitrary scripture and dogmatically assuming it to be correct.
Only when I pray to Google, I get answers in 0.07 seconds.

Wow, now this has to be a sign. On my tumblelog, I had just finished a little post extolling the virtues of Google; the next thing I see is this post. Does Google God provide miracles to his followers?

My first reaction to this thread was to type "define: entity" into a certain search engine.

Then it hit me.

She's already won.

Duh. It's been obvious for years that google is the second coming of Christ.

Geez. Someone had to go an invent an organized religion based on what everyone already knew? Way to ruin it fools!

Well google is the closest thing we have to omniscience, but Carl Winslow definitely still has the edge in every other aspect.
