I'm having trouble with it too. I started up SIW to monitor network traffic, and as far as I could tell it wasn't doing anything. Now Firefox is trying to start Quicktime, and it's sucking up 100% CPU with no visible trace of it.

Ohhh man sick nasty sweet super special awesome badass fight scene! And that's just one! Ah. I'm not even a spidey fanboy, that just looks almost as awesome as 300 does.

That wasn't so bad, but I swear why can't whomever is directing Spiderman these days just walk up to George Lucas and say "George, how bout you do the special effects for this one?" Granted, it's gotten better as the movies have progressed, but I'm still not impressed.

Anyway: The thing finally loaded. Dunst is either the greatest actress alive, or they took her out of the scene when Toby tried to pretend he was a compassionate soon-to-be-husband, because that would've made any other woman's vagina turn to dust.

The fight scene was redeeming. The ring added an extra level to it, and I liked that. I still don't know if that's enough to make me sit through the whole movie. Toby is such a groan.

Spiderman sucks, just admit it.

From what Cazor posted, Venom looks sorta lame. Maybe it's the angle of his head but he sort of looks like a 12 year old in a costume.

ive been doing alot of research on this film for about a year now.

the scene where harry has the huge fight with harry is not even the full fight. (even in the extended version) some of that fight was left out.

there will be several huge fight scenes in this movie including the climax battle between Spider-man, Sandman, and Venom at the end. this fight alone is supposed to last for 15 mins.

Hi there. Cazor was awesome enough to make this thread scroll to the side just to show you, and I believe you alone, a snippet from the preview clearly showing Venom. If you cannot locate his post, may I suggest you get glasses, perhaps of the strongest perscription.

Venom IS in the previews. but for only a second.

in the trailer you will see MJ laying on black web (thats venoms) and you will see peter tied up in a black web restraint (venom)


They are keeping his footage hidden to build up a huge hype around venom.
trying to get people to see the movie just for venom himself.

all i can say is it is working. Sony has been taunting spidey fans for awhile with this.

so forgive me if this has been addressed already, but what exactly is venom?? Is he a completely different villan, or just the 'dark side' of spiderman
as shown in the trailers, or is there spiderman, dark spiderman, and venom all in one movie??

All in one movie.

"dark spiderman" is when Peter Parker aquires the symbiot suit. It's a parasite that enhances the characteristics of the host while it feeds on your emotions. Whatever emotion is most present, that is the characteristic most expressed by the host while the symbiot feeds. When Spiderman aquires the suit, it feeds off of his unexpressed anger and causes him to kind of act like a dick. When it begins feeding off of Eddie Brock it feeds off of his hatred/obsession of Spiderman. This causes him to have an appearance similar to that of Spiderman, but all evil and such. He has all of the powers of Spiderman due to his obsession, and he appears as an evil version of Spiderman for the same reason. The symbiot gives Eddie Brock the power he needs to kill Spiderman, which is what he wants. This is very similar to the power given to Peter Parker when he is in posession of the symbiot. He wants to be more of a manly man/take care of myself/badass type, and it gives him that, but due to tha fact that it nearly destroys his realtionship with Mary Jane Watson, he rips it off with the assistance of a church bell due to the fact that low-frequency sound weakens the parasite. In this same church, Eddie Brock is praying for forgiveness about the fact that he is about to commit suicide due to Peter Parker exposing him for doctoring photographs of Spiderman to make him seem evil, and therefore, losing his job. Spiderman rids himself of the parasite, which then drips onto Eddie Brock, and when it realizes his obsession/anger toward Spiderman, it takes on the form tha we know as Venom. Venom wants to kill Spiderman.

That's about it.

That is the way it's apparantly done in the film.

i think he has the teeth because the sybonite attaches to brocks actual skin. and it was only attached to spidermans suit.
