I think the real WoW movie will actually be pretty good. Warcraft has good lore material that can be made into a film.

Most of that lore material is actually from real life things...

There's a web page that list them all. Things I can think of off the top of my head is end game dungeons such as Ragnaros and Ragnarok, Loki, etc. (aka Norse Mythology)

Point is almsot every npc and quest is a reference to a real life story. There's even a innkeeper in outlands named Floyd Pinkus.

That's blizzard's sense of humour. However, last I checked the actual story behind the warcraft universe is original, and the movie could be a continuation of it since it's hard to keep the story going with an MMO

The story for warcraft VERY CLOSELY PARALLELS that for warhammer.

Also, there's a part in WC3 where you can find Marla Singer watching Tyler Durden fighting himself.

I'm sure Fight Club is canon Warcraft. :P

Just like I'm sure that the witch from Diablo actually does pilot all the Protoss scouting probes.

Oh man that is AWESOME!

I can't wait for this film. This is going to be 10 times better then LOTR for sure.

I hope it gets nominated for the academy awards.
