I was demonstrating passing variables by reference versus by value, and I had a program that took two variables, whose values were "Hello" and "World", and it changed them to "Good-bye" and "Blue Skies".

None of my students got it. :psyduck:

Well, since 2000 I have practically thought that I'm actually living the year 2000 all and over again, aging in the process but still never actually leaving the year 2000.

So when people born in the early 90s do stuff that I did just a few years ago, I suddenly remember how the Year 2000 Syndrome isn't real and feel old. :(

During one of my lectures last week, there was a ten minute break after the first hour. The lecturer put up a slide saying "Intermission" with an albatross underneath it. I think me and three or so other people got it out of about 70. I guess it doesn't really count, since everyone was roughly the same age in the theatre, but still :(
