Well, the last motorcycle I bought (2006 Buell XB12Ss [Lightning Long]) turned out to be a complete lemon, and after a few months of dealing with the dealer and a few weeks of dealing with the manufacturer, they are buying it back under the Lemon Law on Tuesday. Today I went in and put a deposit on a new 2007 ZX-6R (Ninja) in black. Here is a picture:

And here is where there is more information:

I'm disappointed that the Buell ended up sucking and they couldn't fix it. So now I'm back to a chain drive instead of a belt, but hopefully it will be more reliable. Plus, it's faster on the 1/4 mile, higher top speed (~160 vs ~140), more horsepower, better 60-80 roll-on, and better 80-100 roll on. It lacks the torque and the low-end grunt of the twin on the Buell, but hopefully it will run properly when it's raining, unlike the stupid Buell!

That's a shame. That Buell you bought was much sharper looking imo. Not that the Ninja isn't a slick bike, but it doesn't have those extra style points awarded to the Buell.

Motorcycles scare me when I'm driving. Always afraid they're gonna fall over and become squished by me or something. :|

That's nice, even though the all black color scheme is a 2004 CBR 1100rr ripoff... it still looks good on that bike.

Please tell me that you are not one of those people who zoom down the freeway at 105 MPH weaving in and out of traffic.
Code to the left of him, code to the right of him, code in front of him compil'd and thundered. Programm'd at with shot and $SHELL. Boldly he typed and well. Into the jaws of C. Into the mouth of PERL. Debug'd the 0x258.

Yeah, I thought the Buell was the most bad-*** looking motorcycle ever. But it really sucked. They sort of offered to give me another Buell instead of my money back, but I have absolutely 0 confidence in the competence of the local dealer's service department.

Sweet ride.

Would be interesting to hear first-hand opinion, when it`s on.

I stopped in the local (well, it's in seattle, a ferry-ride away) Triumph dealer and they were complete jerks. They wouldn't tell me how much the damn thing cost until I filled out a credit report, which I wasn't going to do, because I wasn't going to finance with them. Horse crap. The next closest one is all the way in Olympia. I'm scared to get another "weird" brand because of the problems with the Buell and because there aren't a lot of people that can work on them. That's why I went with the Japanese water-cooled 4cyl...
