Yeppers! I'm going to an Oxford study abroad program thingy. So Yay that I got into the program!! and two of my best friends are coming too! I just kinda wanted to share! YAAAAAY This means that at least 3 of my professors are under the impression that I'm smart or something.

And I may be able to spend some time in Germany with my friend's family. YAAAAAAAAY.

(Oh! and next summer I'm either going to Rome or Vienna!)

Thanks for letting me share :D

Congrats.
I've had a few workmates leave to go overseas and one is currently living around London. I'm pretty sure she's loving it. I think she's having a good time visiting other European places too.

Oxford's nice, I'd rather be there than Hatfield; a nowhere north of london. You'll have to visit London though, it rocks.

The program starts June 24 and it's 6 weeks long. only about 5 people from my school are going, and when there was an opening, my professor pushed me to apply. It's a program in conjunction with a few schools in Virginia, and I think each takes about 5 students. And we'll be at St Anne's college.

oxford is a fair old trek from the place i call home during the summer, if i get my toe done then I'll have enough cash to go on a mooch to Oxford.

Hell, heres hoping I can get my toe done anyway, £14,000 is a beautiful thought.

Jess has family there and the whole hotel room thing would work there too - I'll probably be sleeping in a Scottish hotel room closet but these are pits and piddles in the grand scheme of things - bring on those cramped sleeping quarters!!!

B - ah the 3 great british universities, Oxford, Cambridge, and Hull.

N - Yes?

B - You failed to notice that only 2 of those are great universities!

M - Thats right, Oxford is a complete dump.

(a cookie for the reference)

I suggest all britassians advance on SUgarless as she enters the Airport, for a warm (and creepy) welcome.! :downswords:

I agree, although the airport may not be the best place to welcome her... What about somewhere in London.

I said oxford is 'nice'; cambridge is better

Also, you have to meet meave :)
