You hook up a 6V dry cell battery, a single-pole single-throw switch, and a 1.5V minature bulb.

You close the switch.

The bulb burns much brighter than usual, for a lot shorter time than usual.

I've done this before. Also works with LEDs and 9V batteries.

It's a trick question. You'd have to throw the single-pole single-throw switch faster than the speed of light, so you can't do it.

Some retard (read: Chewbubba) blew most of the bulbs yesterday.

Would that have happened if I had used 3.7 V bulbs instead?
