Britney's just trying to find herself. She hasn't been able to choose practically anything about her life since she was 12. She may be acting a little crazy, but she's just trying to figure stuff out.

You know, the mass media isn't going to be happy until she turns into another Anna Nicole Smith.

Leave this ****ing girl alone.

Sex tapes are good for careers. If she doesn't kill herself in the next few years she'll be okay. Now if she wants to be left alone she should refrain from acting like a whore with strippers in front of a camera.

It seems anything I hear on the news today either involves her or Nicole Smith.

It's pretty hard to care. But either way, LZBN SEX deserves a seal of approval:

EDIT: Kind of sucks for the dancers, though. Also, "the sex video is so outrageous and shocking"? Riiiiiiiight.

While that might explain her behavior, it doesn't justify it (not that I'm saying that you were claiming it is justified).

And how exactly is the media helping this situation?

If you care, how are you helping? If you're not helping, why bother knowing about it?

*shrug* Guess I just think there are more important things people should be focusing on.

I fully agree. Every time I hear "britney spears" and "anna nicole smith" a little part of me dies.

Your blaming her inability to not act like a drug/alcohol addicted slut on the media?

I would have to literally bury my head in the sand to not know about it.

True...but there's not a whole lot we can do about them either.

Nope, but I am blaming America's obsession with it on the media, yes.

You know what I'm saying -- don't blow it off on semantics.

The hundreds of thousands of $$ that people will pay for photos could easily do something better. Instead, it feeds the media frenzy...

I think you should be pointing fingers the other way around. I'd say the media's attention to the issue is a *result* of America's obsession. The media prints what people want to know about. I don't think I'd be very successful as a journalist if I wrote stories with titles like, "The black thing I found under my toe nail".
If you choose not to decide, you still have made a choice.

Does it, or does the media determine what people want to know about? I think it goes both ways.

My Mom predicted this a few years back. The solution is to stop paying attention to them.
