Well, duh; Machievelli believed any evil action can be justified if in the best nature of the state and it's populace, an "ends justify the means" interpretation of politics, and stately procedure, while tupac belived in the idea of "busting caps in asses", a "*** justify the caps" interpretation. You could very easily draw the parallels and join a cult that thinks you should kill your child because Tupac believes it's the devil.

Duh.

Damn you Americans are nuts.

But this is one case where I don't like doing the usual DYAAN shtick and actually express my disgust with people like that. Doing something like that and then trying to blame it on some higher thing... yuck.

This idea is at least as old as the number of years since Pac's death ... Pac himself was doing the whole Machiavelli thing

Tupac didn't "believe" in "busting caps in asses". While the parallels are stupid, Tupac didn't like gangbanging, but realized that in the ghetto it was a neccessity to live (or, even if not a neccessity, something that facilitated a MUCH easier life). Later on, after joining Death Row (****ing Suge) his raps turned more "gangster" only because he was in contract with Suge Knight to pose that image for the label.

That said, I think the idea is stupid, even though he did indeed call himself "Makavelli" (not because he couldn't spell Machiavelli, before you comment on that) and did hold a couple of the same principles, they weren't much alike.

I liked Tupac more than Machiavelli.

More style. Better poetry.

I feel sorry for the poor girl who was killed? All jokes aside, that's a nasty way to go.

I don't get the point of the cult. Even if Tupac was a reincarnation of Machiavelli, that's no reason to worship him.

Actually, it's true. TuPac's early rap was very much a social critique of the ghetto, and he came down on it pretty hard. These early albums were critically acclaimed by lots of different people in the entertainment industry. His later albums were gangsta rap and were his top selling albums.
