I'm trying to come up with the right word and I'm failing miserably.

The word I'm grasping for describes your stereotypical supervillian or videogame boss. Kind of a crazy, power-hungry freak.

I dug through thesaurus.com under "dictator" and "tyrant", but didn't see it. Neither one really describe the above anyway. I could have sworn this word started with a P, but I dunno anymore.

Massassi-One Kenobi, you're my only hope.

At least if you have some ideas, I can use that word on the thesaurus to find the one I'm looking for.

Just plain maniacal is also good. It also works better to say "maniacal laugh" instead of "megalomaniacal laugh," if that's even a word.

You're only a despot if you are all those things and also old and going a little cagey.

And megalomaniacs aren't necessarily evil. All it is is delusions of grandeur.
